Most of Mexico to spring forward tomorrow, as scheduled
Although most of Mexico is scheduled to spring forward tomorrow at 02:00, earlier this week Claudia Reyes Montiel, representing the caucus of the Mexican Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), asked Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) to cancel or suspend DST in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic. AMLO has punted on this for now, saying that he first wants a technical opinion from the Ministry of Energy. One never knows with AMLO though, and it might be good to keep an eye out for sudden changes to Mexico's civil-time rules. My source: Horario de Verano 2020: Diputados del PRD le piden a AMLO eliminar el cambio. La Verdad. 2020-04-02. https://laverdadnoticias.com/politica/Horario-de-Verano-2020-Diputados-del-P...

There is little chance at this stage that their computers will do anything other than change, so then trying to roll them all back is something of a pointless exercise ... but then when do politicians actually do the sensible thing ... -- Lester Caine - G8HFL ----------------------------- Contact - https://lsces.uk/wiki/Contact L.S.Caine Electronic Services - https://lsces.uk Model Engineers Digital Workshop - https://medw.uk Rainbow Digital Media - https://rainbowdigitalmedia.uk
