*************************************************************************** IERS Message No. 50 November 21, 2003 *************************************************************************** IAU Working Group on Nomenclature for Fundamental Astronomy At the IAU XXV General Assembly that met in Sydney in 2003, it was decided that IAU Division 1 would form a new working group to be called Nomenclature for Fundamental Astronomy. The purpose of the working group is to provide proposals for new nomenclature associated with the implementation of the IAU 2000 Resolutions and to make educational efforts to the scientific community regarding the resolutions.
