FW: Problem with tzdata America/Caracas
I'm forwarding this message from Néstor F. Zambrano, who is not on the time zone mailing list. Those of you who are on the list: please direct replies appropriately. (I've already sent Néstor the results of my testing here on the mother ship; "zdump" seems to yield the correct results for Caracas.) --ado From: Néstor F. I am an user of Google Calendar / Ubuntu 8.04. When I fixed the time zone to America/ La_Paz everything works perfectly, but when I fixed it to America/ Caracas, Google Calendar shows the wrong date (one date ahead). The rest of the functions associated with the date on my computers work perfectly. Thanks in advance for your help and sorry for my ban English. Regards Néstor F. Zambrano

It seems that this is a Javascript problem in all Mozilla-based products, and it's not related to tzdata. While it's still present in FF3, I couldn't replicate this in Konqueror and other apps (e.g., Gnome's calendar or the CLI cal command) https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370973 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=285663 Yours, Jose -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFIX/p/UWAsjQBcO4IRAjPKAKCJYQXZxCiiz8iC9o4QPHDOGWLp9gCfSf4F feiqQWgZP6aBj2KXyvBGULo= =Fqrk -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
