(Both... http://www.worldtimezone.com/dst_news/dst_news_egypt02.html ...and... http://www.almasryalyoum.com/en/news/clocks-go-back-during-ramadan-and-then-... ...indicate that clocks are "...to be moved forward again after Ramadan, on Thursday 9 September.") --ado -----Original Message----- From: Michael Deckers [mailto:michael.deckers@yahoo.com] Sent: Thursday, July 22, 2010 3:55 To: tz@lecserver.nci.nih.gov Subject: Re: Egypt plan to [cancel] DST during Ramadan and then to resume DST again. On 2010-07-20 20:03, Arthur David Olson proposed the rule:
+ Rule Egypt 2010 only - Sep 9 0:00s 1:00 S
I had the impression that the quoted sources indicate the switch one day later, on a Friday:
+ Rule Egypt 2010 only - Sep 10 0:00s 1:00 S
At least Bairam only begins at 2010-09-09.75 in Egypt. Regards Michael Deckers.
