I've a new diff file with 2 corrected typos. I'm sending the message direct to you because I saw your message at the archives talking about the subject I sent originally. I can't find my message at the archives. Regards, Frederico Neves

Dear Mr. Olson,
I've tried to subscribe to the TZ mailing list apparently without success. I've a new diff file with 2 corrected typos.
I'm sending the message direct to you because I saw your message at the archives talking about the subject I sent originally. I can't find my message at the archives.

Hi, I found some problems in the changes: - Need to be redone for 2008f tzdata changes - Small typo in added comment ("exceptiion") - The comment # For dates after mid-2008, the above rules with TO="max" are guesses # and are quite possibly wrong, but are more likely than no DST at all. could be removed. - Checking output with zdump -v, trying to specify the generic rule "Rule Brazil 2008 max - Feb Sun>=15 0:00 0 -" followed by "only" rules trying to override it didn't work, need to specify ranges manually. Here is a new diff with these items fixed: diff -p -up tzdata/tzdata2008f/southamerica.orig tzdata/tzdata2008f/southamerica --- tzdata/tzdata2008f/southamerica.orig 2008-09-17 18:59:04.000000000 -0300 +++ tzdata/tzdata2008f/southamerica 2008-09-17 19:00:10.000000000 -0300 @@ -768,12 +768,25 @@ Rule Brazil 2007 only - Feb 25 0:00 0 - # Decree 6,212 (2007-09-26), # adopted by the same states as before. There is another one I sent on the second diffs (least -> last)
- The comment # For dates after mid-2008, the above rules with TO="max" are guesses # and are quite possibly wrong, but are more likely than no DST at all. could be removed. - Checking output with zdump -v, trying to specify the generic rule "Rule Brazil 2008 max - Feb Sun>=15 0:00 0 -" followed by "only" rules trying to override it didn't work, need to specify ranges manually.
I confirm this, Herton is correct. I double checked it this time and now it looks good. Attached the diffs with all the corrections, Regards, Fred
