FW: last call for draft-lear-iana-timezone-database-03
Hi everyone, We need your help. We have made substantial progress in seeing to a permanent home for the TZ database and mailing list after Arthur David Olson's retirement. The announcement below indicates that the Internet Engineering Steering Group (IESG) is now asking for feedback on the proposal, which is for the function to be homed by the IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority). The intent, again, is to document existing practice, and to establish a succession process. Now is the time for you to signify your agreement or disagreement with this proposal. Please send your comments to ietf@ietf.org, perhaps copying this mailing list. The IESG needs to hear from you as the most impacted community. Please do let them know what you think. The IESG has received a request from an individual submitter to consider the following document: - 'IANA Procedures for Maintaining the Timezone Database' <draft-lear-iana-timezone-database-03.txt> as a BCP
The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final comments on this action. Please send substantive comments to the ietf@ietf.org mailing lists by 2011-05-09. Exceptionally, comments may be sent to iesg@ietf.org instead. In either case, please retain the beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting.
