Morocco DST Interruption during Ramadan 2015
Hello, (Google Translation) The current time of Morocco (GMT + 1) will be suspended from next Sunday until July 19, announced Monday the Ministry of Civil Service and Modernisation of Administration. The hour will thus be delayed 60 minutes Sunday, June 14 at 3:00, the ministry said in a statement, adding that the time will be advanced again 60 minutes Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2:00. The move comes under 2.12.126 Decree of 26 Jumada I 1433 (18 April 2012) and the decision of the Head of Government of 16 N. 3-29-15 Chaaban 1435 (4 June 2015). Source (french): http://lnt.ma/le-maroc-reculera-dune-heure-le-dimanche-14-juin/ (currently the official notice isn't publish on official government website http://www.mmsp.gov.ma) I thinks that the new rule for all new ramadan period is the time change the Sunday (like the DST) or not the Saturday. Milamber Note: Current prediction in tzdata: Africa/Casablanca Sat Jun 13 01:59:59 2015 UT = Sat Jun 13 02:59:59 2015 WEST isdst=1 gmtoff=3600 Africa/Casablanca Sat Jun 13 02:00:00 2015 UT = Sat Jun 13 02:00:00 2015 WET isdst=0 gmtoff=0 Africa/Casablanca Sat Jul 18 01:59:59 2015 UT = Sat Jul 18 01:59:59 2015 WET isdst=0 gmtoff=0 Africa/Casablanca Sat Jul 18 02:00:00 2015 UT = Sat Jul 18 03:00:00 2015 WEST isdst=1 gmtoff=3600
Thanks for the heads-up. It looks like we'll need a new release soon. Attached is a proposed patch.
Hello, Thanks for your patch. Official announce is out (French): http://www.mmsp.gov.ma/fr/actualites.aspx?id=863 (Google Translation): The Ministry of Civil Service and Modernisation of Administration announced the return to the legal time of the Kingdom (GMT). So the time will be delayed for 60 minutes from 3:00 am Sunday, June 14, 2015. She will be advanced by 60 minutes (GMT + 1) from 3:00 am Sunday, July 19, 2015 Milamber On 08/06/2015 19:57, Paul Eggert wrote:

Thanks, attached is a further patch to reference the official announcement in our commentary. I don't expect Morocco to change its mind again at the last minute, as Egypt did this year, so I'm thinking we should release a new version sooner rather than later.
On 2015-06-09 16:39, Paul Eggert quoted in the propsed patch:
+#... So the time will be delayed for 60 +# minutes from 3:00 am Sunday, June 14, 2015. She will be advanced by +# 60 minutes (GMT + 1) from 3:00 am Sunday, July 19, 2015.
This would (probably) make the switch on 2015-07-19 go from 03:00 to 04:00 rather than from 02:00 to 03:00, as in the patch. Hence, the comment is confusing. I think the patch is correct and the quoted text is wrong; the text in [http://lnt.ma/le-maroc-reculera-dune-heure-le-dimanche-14-juin/] agrees with the patch. Michael Deckers.

Thanks for catching this. The whole situation is confusing. Proposed commentary patch attached. Basically, it goes back to Milamber's first email, and adds your note as further commentary. For what it's worth, timeanddate.com agrees with us....
Don't forget to release the new tzdata version. Thanks. On 09/06/2015 17:39, Paul Eggert wrote:
