As I mentioned before, there is nothing settled yet. I suggest we wait until next week (after the first round of elections) so we will know for sure what will happen.

Subject: update zonerules for Brazil

Hi,

I understood that Brazil will enter DST at November 5 0:00 2006. This is because of elections (just like 2002).

The timezone rules say "first Sunday on or after october 15". So there is a mismatch.

Is there an update available for the zonerules for Brazil? I did not find it on the ftp site of elsie.nci.nih.gov.
