The UK has 69 cities. All have observed the same time since 1970 and so there is exactly one entry in TZDB, not 69. Besides which, many towns are bigger than some of those cities, so they'd want their own entries as well. Actually, the village I live in is bigger than at least one of those cities, possibly two, so there would be thousands of applicants! -- Clive D.W.
