Another thing about the data of Argentina Time Zones, the data
I send the other day is applicable to the Buenos Aires Region, but in Argentine
there is more zones, but in the period of the errors in Elsie, Shanks and
Astrodienst data 1974-1988 all the Argentina Times Zones Are EQUAL - in the
data of Elsie, Shanks and Astrodienst also there is not differences between the
different regions in this period -...
Sorry, Elsie, Shanks and Astrodients, my only intention is
help to correct an error that carries many years in yours databases, all for
make the world of astrology much precise... I consult very much astrologers of
argentina and all are sure between 1975 to 1987 There was not Dyalight Saving or
another change in the official hour in Argentina, the Naval Observatory of
Buenos Aires - is the office of the Argentina Government that makes the change
of hours of the country - also told the same, because this I am almost totally
sure the data in the email of yesterday is correct... And because this decided
to send the data to your emails...
Good Luck and Good Day...
Javier Reinoso...

Subject: Errors in Data of Shanks and Elsie about the Argentina Time
Zones
Hello...
At first, thank you for your work. It is very
important for us, astrologers.
We decided to write you because we made
part of an astrological discussion group called Ptolomeo. Some people
wrote asking about Argentina timezones few weeks ago and all of the argentine
astrologers told that 'Shanks, Elsie data and other english sources have
errors'. So, Dra. Amelia Urbina, member of the group, has contacted the Naval
Observatory of Buenos Aires and she got the following results. Please see the
next images:
From Naval Observatory of Buenos Aires -
Argentina:

If you take a look at your data, Argentina have some DST
periods from 1975 to 1987, but according to the Naval Observatory official data
(and these have a total acceptance by the argentine astrologers), there was no
time changes in these years, as shown below:
Elsie data from
tzdata2001d.tar.gz (with coincidence to Shanks data and his International
Atlas):

However, at the Naval Observatory of Buenos
Aires report we have for the same range of time:

It's an official document from Argentina Naval Army, and I am
quite totally sure those data are 100% trustful...
I really hope this
info could be useful for your very good job!!
Have a nice
day!
