Since the planned divergence from America/Edmonton's current practice wouldn't be until 2027-03-14, nearly a year from now, we have quite some time yet to see whether the rest of America/Edmonton might join in and obviate the need for a new zone while still being able to get an update out with several months' leadtime if it is. -- Tim Parenti
