ICANN able to convert Adobe Connect recordings to MP4 format
Dear All, As a result of the information provided to ICANN staff on today's TTF call re: "he ability to export Adobe Connect recordings from Flash only recordings to formats like MP4 which can be edited and put on video sharing websites for easier resharing and accessible for At-Large community" as listed on the https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+Technology+Issues page, ICANN has configured their Adobe Connect account to allow for ICANN staff (at no additional cost) to export Adobe Connect recordings to MP4 format. The steps staff would have to carry out are similiar to outlined at https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/using/recording-playing-back-meetings.... under "Make recordings offline in MP4 or FLV format (Adobe Connect 9.5)" and there is also a 3 min 50 second video "Converting your Adobe Connect recording to MP4" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blGohXaJKog The conversion process does require the ICANN Staff to playback the Adobe Connect recording in real time to do the conversion to MP4, but this is a positive step in making the At-Large work more accessible to the wider public. Kind Regards, Dev Anand
Hi dev Thanks for sharing these tool is worth evaluation. It is very light and has built something similar to Adigo for phone calls. and most importantly it does not depend at all flash It also records all default recording format mp4 high quality https://zoom.us/pricing Raitme Citterio 2016-04-18 20:43 GMT-04:30 Dev Anand Teelucksingh <devtee@gmail.com>:

Has a nice front interface and runs xmpp in its backend. That said, I don't think ICANN is looking for FOSS base tools otherwise I for instance don't find the reason for moving from moodle to a closed source platform convincing enough (when I asked) ;-) Cheers! under "Make recordings offline in MP4 or FLV format (Adobe Connect 9.5)"
and there is also a 3 min 50 second video "Converting your Adobe Connect recording to MP4" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blGohXaJKog
The conversion process does require the ICANN Staff to playback the Adobe Connect recording in real time to do the conversion to MP4, but this is a positive step in making the At-Large work more accessible to the wider public.

As a FYI, At-Large Staff are testing the process to get Adobe Connect recordings to MP4 files and to YouTube. ICANN has configured their Adobe Connect account to allow for ICANN staff (at no additional cost) to export Adobe Connect recordings to MP4 format. Hi Seun, Thank you for the link! While the admin interface for Adobe Connect looks a bit different from the graphics, we are able to export the recording in MP4 format. It is still a bit clumsy to upload the MP4 to YouTube, so we still have a bit more testing to do to figure out a more efficient way to upload those videos.
