Hi Dev, Thanks for sharing. Did I read Windows only? This is a good update all the same. Also waiting for the Linux version :-) Sarah On Mon, Jul 17, 2017 at 7:30 PM, Dev Anand Teelucksingh <devtee@gmail.com> wrote:

What a horrible, backward step. I would imagine that they would, like almost every other similar enlightened organisation, be taking advantage of webRTC and HTML5 to deliver their solution. Why a separate application. Is this the best they can do to replace Flash? Are they STILL using Flash BTW??? In this release, Windows users who need to share their screen or upload content will experience a new standalone application that installs independently from the Adobe Flash Player, and outside of the Adobe Flash Player directory structure. The new Adobe Connect application will fully remove the need for a web browser to join meetings. So On Jul 17, 2017 1:07 PM, "Sarah Kiden" <skiden@gmail.com> wrote:

That's quite funny as a Web browser seems to be the one thing that nearly everyone has on their computer. Wow. Soon, it will be "web what?" O.
For now, its still supports Flash "...those who have the Flash Player fully enabled in their browser will continue to be able to access Adobe Connect rooms without further downloads of an application." The blog post did seem to focus on the Adobe Connect application being on Windows. But as a FYI, with Adobe Flash for Linux now concurrent with the Windows and Mac versions, it should be in theory easier for Linux users to connect to Adobe Connect. SO: The word asterisked is indeed the right one. Ofcourse I should note that the experience is much better than before where it could crash on me almost trice within a call of one hour; especially if it's Firefox on Linux. Cheers! Thank you Dev, do you if it will be some beta test time for this new version?. It seems the major improve is the free browser app (at least in windows), and the apparent promise to begin delivering HTML5 pieces in the fall.
