Dear All,
If accessing the meeting from your browser then Flash is required ; however if you create an free account at anymeeting, you can download
desktop apps for Windows and Mac
There is a concern that using the browser in Linux isn't formally supported so we'll see if this is the case.
Also, there are mobile apps for iOS and Android - search the relevant app stores to find them
I've done some testing and while there is a jitsi IM client which supports multiple chat protocols including the Jabber/XMPP server at Jit.si ,
its not (IMO) useful to test as it would require creating IM accounts, becoming friends with other such accounts, and so on. The experience would be very similar to Skype, IMO
However Jitst Meet is a open source implementation of WebRTC which, if using the latest version of Google Chrome or Opera "just works" with a unique meeting URL that you can "jump" in. The support for Firefox isn't there yet. And it would be interesting to see if this works with the Mac and Linux versions of Chrome or Opera.
Kind Regards,
