Our   Atlarge Technology Taskforce  is working on a proposal for ICANN on Open Data, spearheading the proposal will be   Dev Anand  Teelucksingh  and  we like to send you our  draft.  We need to submit  before the end of January.  Your comments would be appreciated

Right now we just have the concept without content but we will flesh it out and share the concept this week.

I am indeed an advocate of open data as an enabler of accountability and transparency particularly since I am a journalist by training and am extremely interested in keeping things open. 

However, I am unfortunately unable to be at ICANN61 due to work obligations at my university. Ironically, I will be busy organizing several sessions related to open data at the upcoming Nordic Data Journalism Conference in Stockholm taking place during 15-18 March (http://noda2018.se).
