HI Holy,
I am happy to do that. As I recall,  I think the responses to the letter are due in June so we can put this off for a week and get back to it.

Best,
Judith

Thanks Judith.

In the OFB WG meeting, Larissa explained why the letter is not listed for public comment (the lack of an answer from the GNSO).  The said, she still wants responses from the other SO/ACs.  So no - the GNSO is not in the letter. However, ALAC still needs to formulate its official response to the letter. Perhaps you and Yrjo can - with agreement from the meeting - draft a response for ALAC to endorse and send to the Board

Hi All,
the letter does not clearly state the issue with the GNSO. Before the letters were sent, the GNSO would assign all 7 delegates to its different constituencies but then the nomcom review public comment was changed to how it was before with the Business constituency getting 2 slots and one going to ncuc and none to NPOC. Also the NCUC slot should really be given to the NCSG. As I mentioned in the public comment I wrote having the GNSO distribute the 7 slots would allow all 7 constituencies to get a chance to have the CSG, NCSG and the Registries a chance to decide who can get a slot, but this current way is just not fair.  All constituencies should have equal chance to send a delegate to the nomcom.

Best,
Judith

Folks

Could the agenda be amended so that a discussion on the NomCom rebalancing issue is second on the agenda (letter from Sin to Zuck below). While this is not listed for public comment, the Board is looking for a reply from ALAC.  The response could be done as part of the NomCom2 Review - or separately - but we do need to develop a response.

I am less concerned about the budget at this stage since officially the next round of comments for the IANA/ICANN budgets don’t officially start until formal acceptance of the FY24-28 Budgets by the Board so it can follow the rebalancing issue

We should also at least look at the PTI Governance issue and amendments to the base gTLD RA and RAA - open now or soon for public comment
