Dear all,
On behalf of the OFB-WG co-chairs, we are seeking At-Large Community volunteers to consider the Public comment “Fundamental Bylaws Amendments on IANA-Related Reviews and CSC Charter Update” recently posted for public comment by ICANN org.
Your insights and/or expertise on the subject matter for public comment would be helpful for:
- Firstly, reviewing and identifying any need for the ALAC to submit a comment, and secondly, where such need arises, presenting issues - in the form of bullet points - for discussion at one or more Working Group calls.
- If the Working Group subsequently reaches consensus on the need for an ALAC comment, volunteering as a penholder to craft a concise thoughtful response (i.e., an ALAC statement) to this public comment proceeding.
Suggested Timeline to meet March 30th deadline:
- Initial Bullet Point(s) presentation and rationale for discussion –at OFB call 26 February call. Note: If the small team could have a first draft statement by 26 February- it could be presented at the OFB call next week.
- ALAC + OFB comments to the First draft statement - 27 Feb- 25 March
- Final presentation of the draft statement- OFB call Thursday March 26
- ALAC: Vote on Final Statement –Friday – 27 – Monday 30th
- Staff: Submission of ALAC Statement – Submission – Monday March 30th
This public comment proceeding will close on Monday 30th March 2026.
