Hi,

No concern with what names you pick.

but find

>  It is preferred that the speaker be there in person.

worrisome as these meetings are supposed to be hybrid and it is not supposed to matter whether one is attending online or onsite.

thanks

Dear All

Apologies for reaching out so late.

As you are Pari and I are representing At Large in the planning for the ICANN80 Plenary Session. This session will be on Monday, 10 June 2024, 15:30–17:00 UTC+2

In that context I am reaching out to you, in case you have some good speaker or moderator suggestions . Personally I would prefer to nominate some new Global South speakers who have some understanding of these processes  or issues. It is preferred that the speaker be there in person.

Since we have a call tomorrow at 6 UTC , I would request you to share the names asap.

Some of the names that have been suggested or self nominated so far include:
  • For Moderators : Pari Esfandiari, Chris Disspain, Jordan Carter, Bertrand de La Chapelle, Nigel Hickson (Remote/virtual)
  • For Discussants: Jordan Carter, Ana Neves, Manal Ismail, Jorge Cancio, Nigel Hickson, Anriette Esterhuysen

The objective of the session is to strengthen the multistakeholder voices in multilateral discussions and also to enhance the linkages between different processes based on existing discussions underway while discussing what can be done next collectively.

Therefore the agenda will be formulated in three sections:
1.Context setting - What has happened so far (NM+10. GDC Discussions, WSIS+20)
2. What is happening next ( The GDC process post negotiations, Summit of Future, IGF 2024)
3. What can we do as a multistakeholder community

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Amrita
