Question for the board:

The draft ICANN Strategic Plan 2025-2030 raises key questions: How does ICANN plan to set measurable targets for environmental sustainability? Will sustainability be fully integrated into DNS, internet infrastructure, and expansion projects? Will it include multistakeholder engagement, awareness initiatives, and advocacy for sustainable practices in Internet governance? Finally, how does the Board plan to embed environmental responsibility as a lasting core of ICANN's governance mission?

Priorities for the CEO:

As ICANN's new CEO steps in, prioritizing alignment with Agenda 2030 and a green approach is essential, directly supporting ICANN’s FY2026–2030 strategic goals. This requires embedding ecological sustainability in DNS management, advancing green technologies in internet expansion projects, and integrating sustainability within ICANN’s multistakeholder model. Establishing measurable targets will be key to tracking progress and ensuring accountability in these efforts.
