In addition to the work done as a member of LACRALO. I was a rapporteur and one of the co-authors of the final report coming out of the ATLAS II declaration. https://community.icann.org/display/als2/ATLAS+II+Declaration My specific inputs were in Thematic Group II - The Globalisation of ICANN https://community.icann.org/x/wYPhAg. A group of us worked until 5 oâclock in the morning to produce a document for submission. Many of members of the attending ALSs were asleep long before then. As a founder member of LACRALO I continue to encourage my colleagues to form new ALSs so as to increase our participation.
My interest in serving also stems from the fact is that I believe I have a deep understanding of the needs of the region, in particular the Caribbean. I understand that critical it is that we play an active role in the management of the internet space. The challenges faced in the region are tremendous and one of the gateways to socioeconomic improvement will be via our front end and back end usage. To many us now ICANN is rarefied air. I will serve therefore to ensure that in some way I can make it more accessible and understandable to all. That is role of the At-Large. That is the role of LACRALO.

Atte.
