* * *Estimados Compañeros de LACRALO:* Me siento muy honrado que 22 LAS hayan manifestado su voluntad para que mi persona sea interina por este tiempo corto que queda a la presidencia de LACRALO. Muchas ALS respondieron la encuesta y otras no por diferentes motivos; lo importante es que se llevó a cabo un proceso democrático y la elección fue transparente tal cual debía ser y nadie dejo de trabajar en cuestiones de políticas por estas procedimentales. De mi parte quiero agradecerles a todos por el apoyo y el haber confiado en mi persona, y manifestar públicamente mi compromiso con el RALO, poniendo como hasta ahora todo mi capacidad, trabajo y aún más. Empieza a partir de hoy tiempos de cambios y de arduo trabajo, en donde mi anhelo es que sea manifiesto nuestro trabajo en equipo, que además, fortalecerá la Región. La semana próxima estaremos en Trinidad y Tobago asistiendo al IGF Regional con la otra delegada de Ageia Densi Fátima Cambronero. Allí tendré la oportunidad de juntarme personalmente con Dev y fijar los próximos pasos. The online poll to express support for José Francisco Arce to be the interim LACRALO President until April 2012 has concluded and the results are as follows:

22 out of 36 ALS participated in the poll which is 61% of the ALS in LACRALO 21 responded Yes 1 responded No

Since more than 18 ALSes have confirmed their support for the nomination of Jose Arce as interim LACRALO president, then José Francisco Arce will be the interim LACRALO president until April 2012

At the 21 July 2011 LACRALO conference, it was agreed by those attending that call, unless there was a request by any ALS to call for a vote that we should attempt to have a interim LACRALO president acclaimed by consensus, if there was only one nomination.

Unfortunately, there were only 6 ALSes present on that call, ( https://community.icann.org/x/gIEUAQ) which means the conference call was not quorate.

Therefore, since there are only 4 ALSes that have expressed support for the nomination of Jose Arce as LACRALO president ( https://community.icann.org/x/zIMKAQ), a simple majority (>18 ALSs) is needed to express support for the nomination of Jose Arce as Interim President to be confirmed.

A Bigpulse poll has been created and ALS representatives will be emailed instructions on how they can express their support.

The only question on the poll is: "Do you support the nomination of Jose Arce as interim LACRALO President until April 2012?" with the possible choices of "Yes" or "No".

The poll will close on Friday 29 July 2011 at 23:59 UTC.

Once more than 18 ALSes have confirmed their support for the nomination of Jose Arce as interim LACRALO president, then Jose Arce will be the interim LACRALO president until April 2012 by acclamation.
