Adios como miembro de ALAC
Ayer ha concluido mi mandato como miembro ALAC, fue un día muy especial de sentimientos encontrados por una etapa concluida y porque he recibido el reconocimiento de todo el ALAC y staff presente en Dakar; y del Consejo de ICANN en el Forum público. Pero lo más importante para mí, fue el tener el apoyo de ustedes cuando me eligieron en el Summit de Méjico 2009. Fueron años de desafíos y aprendizajes. Aunque en algunas ocasiones no he podido conseguir para la región lo que me había propuesto, les puedo asegurar que he puesto lo mejor de mí, y aun más, pueden estar seguros que continuaré trabajando firmemente por la región Latinoamericana y el Caribe y que todo lo que he aprendido en este periodo estará siempre disponible para todas las ALSs de nuestra región. Ha sido un honor! Gracias por vuestra confianza. Sylvia Quiero también agradecerles por la grata sorpresa que me llevé cuando me entregaron, en vuestro nombre, el regalo de 2 máscaras hecha por nativos de Senegal que yo había visto en el mercado local y me habían gustado mucho. Estarán colgadas en mi hogar y siempre me recordarán lo lindo que es la interacción en LACRALO. Yesterday I concluded my term as a member of ALAC, was a very special feelings for a time because I have completed and received recognition from the entire ALAC and staff present in Dakar, and the Board of ICANN in the Public Forum. But most importantly for me, was to have your support when I was elected in the 2009 at Mexico Summit. These were years of challenge and learning. Although sometimes I can not get to the region that I had proposed, I can assure you that I have put my best, and even more, rest assured I will continue working hard for Latin-America and Caribbean region and that all I've learned in this period will be always available to all ALS in our region. It was an honor! Thank you for your confidence. Sylvia I also want to thank you for the pleasant surprise that I took when I handed in your name, the gift of 2 masks made by natives of Senegal that I had seen in the local market and I had liked very much.
