Dear all : (Spanish below - Español debajo ) Regarding me, I was very sick the last days and I still have a lot of symptoms, so I want to apologize for not had been there. Regarding the comments of Dev, Carlos, Fatima and Jose, I think they have reason, but they also have to propose something to change urgently this situation. All criticism must be accompanied with a proposal. I partially agree with Jose and Carlos Vera that we discuss a lot of time procedural’s things, but they are necessary because with the next changes to the bylaws we will improve what we are criticizing. And if someone of the region thinks that the agenda is not interested should propose their own topics to be include in the agenda, as Fatima said, because any ALS can add different issues. Also I want to note that all agendas have policies issues (In public comments and others). Member of the region can add topics even in the beginning or in the first minutes of every call. I do believe the change begins in each of us. So I as a president of LACRALO I want to called upon to work on the topics you care about and share them with the community, not only in calls, also as working groups. Work as a team means share and ask for help. Looking forward work with all of you to achieve the goals of LACRALO. Si alguien de la región piensa que la agenda no es interesante debe proponer sus propios temas para ser incluidos en la agenda, como lo menciona Fátima, porque todas las ALS pueden sumar sus temas, incluso se pueden sumar temas en los primeros minutos de todas las llamadas mensuales. Y quiero hacer notar que todas las agendas tienen temas de políticas (algunas en comentario publico y otras no) Realmente creo que el cambio empieza por cada uno de nosotros. Como presidente de LACRALO los invito a trabajar en los temas que a ustedes les interesa y que los compartan con los demás miembros de la región, no solo en las llamadas mensuales, sino también como grupos de trabajo. Trabajar como equipo significa compartir y solicitar ayuda. A la espera de trabajar con todos ustedes para lograr juntos los objetivos de LACRALO. Hi: How about our representatives? I can accept a sudden event wich make unavailable somebody at the teleconference call, BUT there are many of ALS leaders who usually mention the word apology always. The LACRALO call is since the begining the third thursday of every month, is comunicated and re comunicated with enough time, I can not understand, so, what happen, why our representatives are repetitives in his/her absenses. They expressed her/his commitment but, however are absent in the call. In my country this attitude is called irresponsability and lack of compromise. There are others, even in the call, who are absents because know nothing about we talk. And finally there are others who directly no send her/his apologies. We need change urgently this situation. I guess. What do you think about, please be honest and nothing of apologies, I particularly tired of this attitudes

Es verdad, tienen razón Fátima y José en cuanto a que mi crítica no contenía una propuesta y aquí la hago. La propuesta es que las personas que constituyen ALSs fantasmas con la intención de generar votos y controlar posiciones o que lo hacen de hecho controlando votos de otras ALSs dejen de hacerlo y dejen de trabajar para su beneficio personal y lo hagan para el colectivo. Está bien tener aspiraciones y están bien y son válidas las alianzas, lo que no está bien es buscar la vuelta a los estatutos para controlar posiciones y negociar los porcentajes de votos para lograr uno u otro cambio y muchísimo menos amenazar con la división de la institución si no se satisfacen ciertas demandas. En cierto que se está tratando de cambiar los estatutos, pero esto tiene un año o mas y no se avanza nada por las razones que expuse anteriormente. Quienes estuvieron en esa reunión en Singapur saben a lo que me refiero y no expreso lo que sucedió porque prefiero olvidarlo. Tres horas desperdiciadas en las que no se llegó a nada. Y ese malestar lo expresé ahí para que quedara clara mi posición. Se debe rescatar el trabajo de Dev que ha sido excelente y el de Andrés Piazza en su momento. En cuanto a José, considero que es una excelente persona, capacitada para ejercer el cargo y que apenas comienza en el cargo y quien hereda este problema que espero se pueda resolver.
