Thanks for noticing that the transcripts to At-Large calls are being posted much more quickly than in the past.

Our goal is to have transcripts posted within 48 hours of each At-Large community call.

The main reason for this goal is to ensure that At-Large community members have the ability to review calls as soon as possible.

A secondary reason is to require fewer At-Large support staff to be on At-Large calls so that they can spend more time supporting the At-Large community in other ways. The aim is to have a maximum of two At-Large support staff be on each call. I am absolutely *DELIGHTED*.

I checked the meeting page for the ESADT conference call on Thursday January 10 2013 at https://community.icann.org/x/I4RZAg and saw that the transcript for this meeting was uploaded by At-Large Staff on Monday January 14 2013 at https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/ESADT+Transcript+2013-01-10

Similarly, the LACRALO Translation WG call on Thursday January 10 2013 (https://community.icann.org/x/lINZAg) also has the transcripts of this meeting posted in English AND Spanish.

A mere 4 calendar days after the call!

Kudos, Kudos, Kudos, Kudos, Kudos to At-Large Staff, ICANN Language Services and to anyone else involved for getting transcripts done in such a timely manner.

All too often, many transcripts of At-Large WG conference calls were being posted months after the call.

As I noted in my comments in 2012 (http://forum.icann.org/lists/language-services-policy/msg00004.html) on the (then) Draft Language Services Policy:

"The ability of Language Services to provide transcripts of WG meetings in a timely manner (within a few days) before the next WG meeting (typically once a week or once every two weeks or once a month) is crucial to allow for discussion of the issues pertinent to the WG by WG members and observers to impact the discussions at the next WG meeting."

I hope that the timely posting of transcripts of At-Large meetings continues.
