According to the LACRALO Organising Documents (https://community.icann.org/x/Oo0i), the term of the president of LACRALO and the secretariat of LACRALO is one year each. The terms of the current LACRALO president and secretariat will end on April 15 2012.

(Rules 13.1, 13.2, 13.3)
However, a LACRALO GA will be held during the ICANN meeting in Costa Rica, beginning on Wednesday March 14, 2012.
Several ALSes have expressed an intent to submit motions to the GA to allow for the election of LACRALO President and Secretariat to take place during this GA. If such motions are approved by the Assembly, then the slate of candidates submitted would be considered for such an election.

Estimados, Me gustaría resaltar el trabajo, compromiso, dedicación, esfuerzo, de una persona de la región que estuvo desde la fundación de nuestro RALO, y desde aquella época no hizo más que fortalecer y representar a nuestra región de la mejor manera posible. Tal es así que siempre hizo importantes aportes en los diferentes Grupos de Trabajo de ALAC y en el mismo LACRALO, especialmente resalto el importante trabajo realizado en el Proceso de Objeciones de ALAC que refiere a la Guía del Solicitante de los Nuevos gTLDs. Es por todo esto y como una forma de agradecimiento que me gustaría nominar formalmente como Secretario de LACRALO a Dev Anand Teelucksingh. Espero que Dev quiera aceptar la candidatura para un nuevo ejercicio de la Secretaría de LACRALO.
