NOMCOM UPDATE

In accordance with our timelines (https://www.icann.org/sites/default/files/assets/nomcom2019-timeline-720x540-24oct18-en.jpg), the NomCom delegates have completed audio interviews with all the short listed candidates that resulted from the first intercessional meeting held in Los Angeles. During May, the second intercessional began and was conducted online for deliberations by the NomCom who determined the second shortlisted candidates for the final review. 

At this stage, all shortlisted candidates have received an email from ICANN staff with an update of their status resulting from the second intercessional. The short listed candidates for ICANN and PTI board positions will be interviewed at ICANN 65 in Marrakesh, thereafter more evaluations by the NomCom will continue while in Marrakesh for the final selection of candidates: 3 seats for the ICANN board, one seat for the PTI board, 3 seats for each of these ALAC regions: Africa, LAC and Asia, one seat for ccNSO and two seats for the GNSO.  The announcement of successful candidates will be made at ICANN 66.
