En Londres

Estimados, para aquellos que pudieron llegar, bienvenidos a Londres!! Esperamos que en todos los aspectos, nuestra Región tenga resultados positivos en este encuentro presencial. Nos solicitaron que tengamos a la vista algo verde, color de nuestra Región. Para quienes lo deseen, y no hayan traído algo verde, tengo disponibilidad de una cinta verde para prender en la solapa, la cual será entregada mañana. La agenda de mañana sábado 21/06/2014, está copiada más abajo. Tenemos cinco importantes reuniones, de 15 a 18, solo dos de las cuales (Grupos 1 y 2) tendrán traducción al español. Usuarios y aceptación de nuevos TLDs

Colegas, atraigo su atención al llamado de ICANN a estudiar e impulsar la aceptación universal de los nuevos TLDs conforme éstos entren en operación. No se trata de la promoción de un producto comercial sino de que éste ya existe y puede causar problemas a los usuarios de Internet. Algunas combinaciones del tipo aaaaa.bbbbbb (donde bbbbbbb es un TLD) pueden ser rechazadas por los navegadores, clientes de correo electrónico, y otros tipos de software, o interpretadas como otros tipos de entidades. En ambos casos el resultado es que el usuario no logra establecer comunicación. La convocatoria da un lugar interesante a las organizaciones cercanas a los usuarios. ¿Propuestas? Imposible to attend 50 ICANN´s meeting

Estimad@s amigos: Lamento informar que por razones administrativas propias de la Embajada Inglesa me es imposible asistir a la 50 reunión de ICANN a realizarse en los próximos días en la ciudad de Londres. Pese a que los trámites para la solicitud del visado fueron realizados en los tiempos propuestos por el “Servicio de visas” ( desde el mes de marzo ) hasta la fecha de hoy no existe noticia de la concesión o no de la misma y por tanto mi pasaporte aún permanece en poder de la embajada Inglesa. Solicito se proceda a cancelar boletos aéreos y reservaciones de hotel que se hayan realizado Me sumo al pesar de mis compañeros de país que tampoco podrán asistir a esta importante reunión. I´d like to inform you that I wouldn’t be able to attend to the 50th ICANN´s meeting in London, because my Visa process was delayed and I wouldn’t be able to make it on time. I prepared all my documents and I applied for my Visa on March, but unfortunately I haven’t received any information about it, they even still have my passport. I would like to ask you to proceed with the cancelation of the tickets and hotel room´s reservation to avoid any charge. It is very disappointed and unfortunately to know that none of my colleagues from Ecuador won´t be there either for personal reasons. Best regards Wladimir Dávalos
